Lakhshya ek Khoj

Lakhshya ek Khoj……… . Have you ever wondered, why do they have Red Tape at Finish Line of race….. It is for a very simple reason, to tell you have reached your GOAL (Lakhshya)….. If the red tape or finish line rope or finish line indicator is not visible…..The athlete may keep running, even when goal is achieved or may not give his best if he does not see the red tape…… What is a Goal…… Goal/Lakhshya is the indicator what your Mind dreams and Body achieves….. Goal is Lakhshya …… Human mind is wired in a such way, it needs to be shown the End Line….End Goal If you have no Lakhshya, any path will take you there. But once you have Lakhshya, you set a path and you chart a plan to tread on that path to reach your Lakhshya…. I have always believed, and followed Goal oriented approach to Personal, Professional   and Fitness lifestyle. This Goal oriented approach always helped me to keep focus and tread the path…… When I saw my fellow Runners, Cycli...

Taming a Stallion…… 100 days of Agony and Ecstasy…..Salute to JP (aka Jai Sawant)

Taming a Stallion…… 100 days of Agony and Ecstasy…..Salute to JP (aka Jai Sawant) This article is dedicated to my friend and buddy, Jai(Jitendra) Sawant   a young dude in his early 50s and who completed Full Marathon at TMM (Tata Mumbai Marathon) in his Ist attempt of FM. Well now that you know the result, and success…..let me share “Behind the Scenes”, the agony and ecstasy when this was achieved on Sunday, Jan 20 th at 11,00am in Mumbai when humidity was high and temperature soaring even higher. Sept, 9 th 2018 Ladakh Marathon , only crazier attempt such crazier stuff at 11,000ft above sea level dessert. Jai and me and few more of us,attempted and both completed. Mutual respect for each other and a bond was formed.   Over a casual conversation he mentioned I have registered for TMM FM challenge.   I had stayed and practiced with him 8days at Ladakh, I knew he was a Stallion, a fast very fast runner.   But I also knew he had not run Full ma...

Journey to Heaven, thru Gates of Hell..............

Image
Journey to Heaven, thru Gates of Hell...... Heaven on earth Leh-Ladakh. Yes a Photographers delight. Vacationers Paradise. Adventurers dream come true. and Runners, Hell......... Ladakh Marathon on Sept,9th 2018 was a challenge to 7000 mad people. Since only extreme madness, can drive you to run at 11,000 ft above sea level. No sane person, worth his salt will even dare to dream to run at such a height with extreme low oxygen. Leh, a high-desert city in the Himalayas, is the capital of the Leh region in northern India’s Jammu and Kashmir state. Generally in September temperatures are pleasant around 16 degree during day and as low as 3 degree during night. I will like to start with the end or climax moment. Our team completed the HM,Half-Marathon. Yes we were a team who dreamt together to run the Ladakh Marathon in Feb,2018. We as a team, passed thru the finish line on Sept,9th 2018. The crazy dreamers were my mad run buddies, Jai , Prakash ,...

Tribute to my Blog , this time last year....Qualifying for TMM (Tata Mumbai Marathon)...GET SET GO....TMM 2019

If you succeed once, It maybe Accident..... You need to attempt again, to prove self, It was Not! NIO Vision run July,2018 I did 10KM in 63 minutes. NIO Vision run July, 2017 I did 10KM in 67 minutes.  https://goo.gl/WHCq6B ( My blog on TMM qualifier and the journey till NIO 2017) Yes I did better by exactly 4 minutes as I stand on the border of reaching my 51st year. This blog is tribute to my earlier blog and all those who helped me till date and all those who inspire me to write (Subhash this one is for you, as an  advance treat I owe to make me do in 60minutes 10KM). I did share my journey in the above mentioned blog, the agony and the ecstasy to reach that qualifying timing in 2017 for TMM 2018. This blog is to pen, my passion which driven me to prove that number was not an accident or environmental blessing or just another of those once in while good day. People say, after some time or certain age, we have nothing to prove or we need not prove anything. ...

Only mad and idiots, run and cycle on road......

Crazy People Run and Cycle on Road I love to run and cycle. Yes I just love to run long distance and cycle very long distance. I have been doing for quite some time, long distance cycling but recently completed BRM 200. Also I took to running year ago and have done FM and HM. Our team moto is sun, wind, cold or rain......we are out of bed and on road.... Yes, summer, winter or rainy season we are on road... In the past 1 year, I have been entertaining various queries wrt Running and Cycling. Infact more than queries, it is calling us Crazy, Idiots, fools etc.... Yes we are the crazy ones..... Today I thought after my morning stupid bike session and yesterday did idiotic run in the rain, and was introspecting the craziness, so here I am penning my equally foolish thoughts..... 1. Roads are meant for 4 wheeler and Heavy vehicles, Isnt it....how dare Runners run on the road.....It is a sin to use the roads to run.....They are crazy to put life of the 4 wheeler fol...

BRM 200 .....The Agony and Ecstasy What is BRM? Brevets de Randonneurs Mondiaux (BRMs)  This was my status and state of knowledge on March,15th 2018. I googled and found  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Randonneuring . Well I love cycling, and I have already written about that in my earlier blog  http://manojvanjari.blogspot.in/2018/05/century-ride-on-cycle-beginning-of.html Well I registered for Mar,31st BRM 200. I had to cycle 200KM and to be eligible for the Randonneur, title should do it with self-support and complete in max 13hrs 30min on the defined route at defined start and end time, with various interval checks. With lot of excitement, slightly confident and faith in self strength started at 8.45PM IST, 45 minutes late than schedule time. Route Pune - Kapurphol - Lonavala - Pune Delay in start, traffic and over estimated confidence in self....It soon became race against time and game of mind. By 2.30AM after almost 6 hours and covering a...
